Our Services

Practical support across student recruitment, admissions and internationalization.

We work with universities and business schools that want to grow beyond the next intake. From first inquiry to engaged alumnus, we help you build the skills, processes and strategies that make growth last.

Why we think in loops, not funnels.

Most recruitment models are linear. Find students, enroll them, graduate them, then start the next intake from zero. Every year costs the same effort, or more.

We take a different view. When recruitment, the student experience and alumni engagement reinforce each other, every cycle makes the next one easier. Students become ambassadors while they are still on campus. Alumni refer applicants and open doors. Reputation compounds, and growth stops depending on how much you spend each year.

Learner Loop

The core: from initial inquiry to engaged alumni who recommend the next cohort.

Institutional Loop

The enabler: infrastructure, data-driven systems and operational excellence that make the learner loop efficient.

Internationalization Loop

The amplifier: global partnerships, reputation and reach that extend both inner loops.

This circular perspective shapes everything we do, from a one-day workshop to a full strategy project.

Why it matters

Three challenges university leadership faces today: shifting demographics, international enrollment pressure, and siloed recruitment workflows.

Tuition Revenue & Yield Stability

The Challenge: Volatile offer-to-enrollment conversion rates make tuition revenue and budget forecasting unpredictable.

Our Impact: We optimize conversion friction points across the learner journey to transform one-off intake cycles into predictable, compounding enrollment pipelines.

Learner Loop

Cross-Departmental Operational Efficiency

The Challenge: Siloed operations across marketing, admissions, and international offices drive up acquisition costs and slow applicant response times.

Our Impact: We align internal infrastructure and team workflows to replace fragmented handoffs with integrated execution.

Institutional Loop

International Market Risk Diversification

The Challenge: Over-reliance on 1–2 primary source countries exposes the institution to sudden policy shifts and visa disruptions.

Our Impact: We assess regional growth potential, including specialized Asia deep-dives, to build a balanced, resilient multi-market recruitment portfolio.

How we can help

Every institution is at a different stage, so we don't work from a fixed menu. We work at three depths, strategic, operational, tactical, in three formats: workshops to build skills, strategic diagnostics to assess, consulting to build alongside you.

The matrix below shows nine real engagements as proof and inspiration, not a menu to pick from. Every project starts from your situation, your team and your goals.

Because the loops reinforce each other, one assessment or workshop is enough to test whether it works for you.

What our clients say

The matrix shows what we deliver. These voices show what it is like to work with us.

Juan Crisostomo Echiverri
Dirk and eduALTO delivered an outstanding 2-day workshop in MCU. His insights gave us new perspectives, leading to greater alignment in our various departments. The impact of his expertise was evident, igniting meaningful discussions and outlining clearer priorities for our university. We are deeply thankful for the positive momentum Dirk’s workshop generated.

Ready to see where you stand?

Tell us about your institution and the challenge in front of you. Most engagements start at a single point in the loop, one strategic diagnostic, one workshop, because that's enough to prove whether the mechanism holds. We'll recommend the smallest entry point that gives you a real answer.

Frequently asked questions

What does eduALTO do for universities?

eduALTO helps universities and business schools improve student recruitment, admissions and internationalization. We work at three depths, strategic, operational and tactical, in three formats: workshops that build team skills, strategic diagnostics to assess processes, and consulting that builds alongside your staff. Engagements range from a one-day executive masterclass to a full internationalization strategy.

What experience is behind eduALTO?

eduALTO is built on more than 25 years of hands-on higher education leadership, not advisory theory. That includes defining strategy as a Director of Admissions, leading institutional development as Head of International Development, and building a new region from zero as Regional Director. The result is advice grounded in having owned the targets, budgets and teams our clients manage today.

How is eduALTO different from traditional education consultants?

Most consultants treat recruitment as a funnel: find students, enroll them, start over each year. eduALTO applies a circular framework where recruitment, student experience and alumni engagement reinforce each other, so every cycle makes the next one cheaper. We also build as well as advise: the Euroversities recruitment platform is our own in-house venture, proof of hands-on execution.

What is the circular framework for student recruitment?

The circular framework replaces the linear "recruit, enroll, graduate, disconnect" model with a self-reinforcing loop. Students become ambassadors while still on campus, alumni refer applicants and open doors, and reputation compounds. The result is growth that no longer depends on how much an institution spends on each intake. A full explanation is available in our insights article on the circular framework.

Do we need a long-term contract, or can we start small?

You can start small. Most eduALTO engagements begin at a single point in the loop, one strategic diagnostic or one workshop, because that is enough to prove whether the approach works for your institution. We recommend the smallest entry point that gives you a real answer, before any larger commitment is discussed.

What does a typical first engagement look like?

A first engagement usually starts with a conversation about your institution and the challenge in front of you, followed by a single scoped intervention. A common example is an admissions process assessment or a benchmark study: we map your current process, compare it against peer practice, and deliver a prioritized set of actions your team can implement immediately.

How long does a strategic diagnostic take?

A strategic diagnostic is scoped to fit your cycle, not the other way around. Whether it covers admissions workflows, recruitment channels or internationalization readiness, a diagnostic typically runs weeks, not months. It closes with concrete, actionable items your team can implement immediately. Longer-term roadmaps are the territory of a consulting engagement, not a strategic diagnostic.

Can eduALTO work alongside our internal admissions team?

Yes, and that is the default. Workshops are designed to upskill your existing staff, and our operational support model embeds directly into internal teams. For one global business school, we provided embedded admissions operations across a diverse program portfolio, standardizing evaluation routines and relieving internal teams during peak cycles rather than replacing them.

Which regions and institution types does eduALTO work with?

Higher education is a global industry, and eduALTO has worked with universities and business schools across Asia, Europe and Latin America. Documented engagements include an executive masterclass for the Board of Trustees of a Southeast Asian university, yield management workshops for a Filipino university, an internationalization strategy for a European university, and a benchmark study drawing on interviews with admissions directors across four continents.

How does eduALTO measure the impact of an engagement?

Impact metrics are defined with you at scoping, before work begins. Depending on the loop stage, they typically include inquiry-to-enrollment conversion, applicant response times, student retention and satisfaction, and alumni referral yield. The goal is always the same: a measurable reduction in the cost and effort of each subsequent intake, not a report that sits on a shelf.
